How We Got Here
Faulkner Insurance Agency did not start from a business plan or a corporate directive. Lynette Faulkner spent 17 years in insurance, beginning her career working alongside her father Barry at Allstate, where the two of them built a loyal book of customers who came to trust them not as a company, but as people. When Barry retired in early 2025, those customers were reassigned to an agent in Raleigh, and the feedback was the same from nearly every one of them: they did not want to drive an hour to see someone they had never met. That response told us everything we needed to know. By May 2026, we had opened Faulkner Insurance Agency and begun bringing those relationships home.
What Makes Us Different
We are not a call center, a chatbot, or a carrier-owned profile page. We are an independent agency with a physical office you can walk into, staffed by agents you already know or are about to. Between Lynette and Barry, we bring together 17 years and approximately 40 years of insurance experience respectively, which means we have seen enough situations to guide you toward coverage that actually fits your life rather than whatever is easiest to sell. Independence also means we are not locked into one carrier’s products, so we can shop coverage options on your behalf and find the right fit across multiple lines.
Who We Are and What We Cover
Faulkner Insurance Agency is a family-owned independent insurance agency serving individuals, families, and small business owners in and around Oxford, NC. Our core lines include auto, home, boat, motorcycle, and RV insurance. We also write renters insurance, umbrella policies, business insurance, commercial auto, and classic or specialty vehicle coverage. We do not currently offer health insurance. Whether you are insuring a single vehicle or covering your entire household across multiple policy types, we work with you directly and stay available when you have questions, need to make changes, or face a situation where you need someone in your corner.
Rooted in This Community
Small-town feel is something a lot of agencies claim, but for us it is simply how word has spread since we opened. Families come to us because one member already trusts us, and then they bring the rest. We see that as the most honest measure of what we are building here. Our office is a place where customers can stop in, sit down, and talk to someone who remembers their name and their policy. That kind of relationship is what drove us to open Faulkner Insurance Agency in the first place, and it is what keeps us focused on serving this community the right way, one family at a time.
